Connecting Beats Together
The Basic Connecting Beat with the Basic Off-beat
In Lesson 5 we gave you the Basic Off-beat. Just to remind you, the Basic Off-beat goes like this:
tuk ta ge Ge ti ta - -
Now, to use this with the Basic Connecting Beat, we do a similar thing as we did on the previous page. That is, we substitute the last note of the beat (in this case ta) with the first "ti" of the connecting beat.
It looks something like this:
