The Basic Off-beat
The
"Basic Off-beat" is a simple affair which uses only one
combination note. Here's the mantra.
Tuk ta ge Ge ti ta -
-
Note that the pauses still come at the end of the mantra,
but the last note is not a "Ge," but a "ta."
That's what makes it an "Off-beat."
Note also that the last Ge is written with an uppercase "G"
to indicate it's a loud "Ge" BOOM whereas the ge just
before it is a soft "ge."
There is no "tiri" or "Dha" in this
mantra. The only combination stroke is the "tuk"
(ti + ki at the same time). It is, therefore, very simple to play.
