"Tuk" is a non-resonant combination stroke.
"Ki" +
"Ti" =
"Tuk"
See the animation on the right. Remember
Ki? It's played by slapping the big end of the drum with your
hand and keeping it there – a non-resonant slap. Remember
Ti? Ti is played with the lower three fingers on the the small
end of the drum – it's also a non-resonant stroke. So TUK
is a combination of Ki plus Ti played at precisely the
same time.
