This is the way you wear the drum when you sit down. The strap goes under both arms, behind your back. You can tell that Vipramukhya ex-Swami is right handed and Bhakta Oswald is left handed by the way they are holding their drums. The big end (bayan) goes on the weak hand. You won't be able to play the mrdanga properly if you don't put your strong hand on the small end of the drum. |
