So where do you go from here?
Well, first of all, I haven't taught you everything. In that Jaipur style Tulasi kirtan you just heard, there were a few fancy mrdanga beats that I didn't teach you. And then again there's a whole other class of beats called the “one two” beats – the beats we play with some of the bhajans and the damodarastaka song that we sing during the month of Damodar. So that's just to name a few. But I'm not going to teach all of that to you. Some of that you're just going to have to pick up along the way.
