We believe about ten things-do you want to translate? Okay.  Yes, it’s easier.  We believe about ten things. They’re the-we believe about ten things,there’e the ten essential points of Krsna consciousness.  Mostly everything that we believe is contained within those ten points.  I’ll give you an example of what one of those points are:  “We are not this body.”  That’s an important point we all believe.  This body is changing, but we are remaining the same person. 

What else do we believe?  Who else can say what else we believe?

Devotee: Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Yes, good.  We are not the body, number one. Number two, Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.  What else?

Devotee: indistinct.

Yes!  We are His servant, we are the servant of Krsna.

Devotee: indistinct

What was that?  You have something?

Devotee: We are soul, we are spiritual soul.

That’s the same as we are not this body.

Devotee:  We are eternal.

Okay, but it’s still part of the same, we are not this body, we are an eternal servant of Krsna.  We could put we are an eternal servant of Krsna as another point.  We are not this body is one, we are an eternal servant of Krsna is another.  We can put that.  Another one?

Devotee:  Krsna is the source, the cause of everything.

Yes, that’s correct.  Five: Krsna is the source of the creation.

Devotee: There is one inferior and one superior energy.

Uh, there’s one inferior and one superior energy.  Okay.  What else?

Devotee: Our actual original position is in the spiritual world. (indistinct)

Yes, good.  Our original position is in the spiritual world.  You want to know another one?

Devotee: (indistinct)

Huh?  Okay.  Here’s another one, no one’s going to think of this.  Uh, all food should be offered to Krsna, and food when it’s offered to Krsna is spiritual.  That’s a very important point and it’s part of our philosophy.

What else?

Devotee: Everything we do, we should offer to Krsna.

Yes, everything we do should be offered to Krsna.

We’re going to come up with more than ten, we have nine now.

Devotee: (indistinct)

Yes-

Where do we get this knowledge from? 

Devotee: From shastra?

Yeah, what can we say about the shastra?  The absolute truth is contained in the Vedas and of all the scriptures in the world the Vedas are the most complete scriptures.

Devotee: Every action has a reaction.

Every action has a reaction.

Um.. okay.  In these-I just came up with a list of eleven points.  Maybe I missed one or two but- Somebody said we are not the body.  I guess that somebody  was me. 

Somebody said Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Somebody said we are the eternal servant of Krsna.

Oh, I have two people saying the same thing there so that brings us down to ten.

Four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

Somebody said Krsna is the source of everything.

Somebody said there is one inferior and one superior energy.

Somebody said our original position is in the spiritual world.

Somebody said all food should be offered to Krsna and food that is offered to Krsna is spiritual.

Somebody said everything should be offered to Krnsa.

Somebody said the absolute truth is contained in the Vedas.

Sombody said every action has a reaction.

I don’t think this last one is one of the essential points, but we’re missing a very essential point.

Devotee: the spiritual master? Without a spiritual master, we can’t advance.

Yes, okay, that’s an important point.  Without a spiritual master-we need a spiritual master, how about?  We’re still missing a very important point.

Devotee: The mahamatra?

That’s it!

Devotee:  JAYA!

The mahamantra is nondifferent from Krsna and the way to achieve selfrealisation in the kaliyuga is by chanting the mahamantra.  So- we just came up with a list of I think eleven points.  You can lecture on any one of these points and always have an original lecture. 

What should we talk about today?  We could talk about prasadam.  Everybody likes to talk about prasadam.  Um, or we could talk about the absolute truth contained-the absolute truth is in the Vedas.  Which do you want to talk about?  Who wants to-huh?

Devotee:Of all eleven, or..?

Out of all the eleven which one do you want to talk about?

Devotee: Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

 Okay, he says of all the eleven, he wants to talk about Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.  Okay, now I’m going to surprise you.  How long have you known about Krsna?  Two years?

Devotee: A year, one.

One year?  So can you tell us, why is Krsna the Supreme Personality of Godhead?

Devotee:  Because He is the source of all sources,He has everything-He has all opulence.

He has all opulence.  Okay, go ahead, you’re doing good.

One time, Prabhupada was giving a lecture and at the end of the lecture someone raised their hand hand asked Prabhupada a question.  The question was, “Can I be initiated?” Prabhupada said, uh, um, “Will you promise to follow the four regulative principles?”  He said yes.  Prabhupada said, “Who are you?”  He said, “I am an eternal servant of Krsna.”  And Prabhupada said, “Who is Krsna?”  And he said, “Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.”  Then Prabhupada said, “Yes, you can be initiated.”  Initiation was easier in those days.

Here are the eleven-ten-eleven points, listen to them again.

We are not the body.

Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

We are His servant.

Krsna is the source of creation.

There is one inferior and one superior energy.

Our original position is in the spiritual world.

All food should be offered to Krsna, and food that is offered to Krsna is spiritual.

Everything should be offered to Krsna.

The absolute truth is in the Vedas.

And the Vedas are the most complete scriptures.

We need to surrender to a spiritual master to learn about spiritual life.

The best way to achieve self realisation in this day and age is chanting the mahamantra.
